Password into Moria by Ted Nasmith
Many times he repeated these words in different order, or varied them. Then he tried other spells, one after another, speaking now faster and louder, now soft and slow. Then he spoke many single words of Elvish speech. Nothing happened. The cliff towered into the night, the countless stars were kindled, the wind blew cold, and the doors stood fast.
~ J.R.R. Tolkien, from A Journey In The Dark
Posted by Monoceros at December 15, 2003 11:11 AMTed's paintings are really quite 'descriptive'....wish i could paint like that...
Posted by: tiggie at December 16, 2003 1:47 PMI know I could never paint like that but I'll settle for having one of them prints! They're lovely. They really bring the pages to life. He's got many lovely Tolkien paintings. Will showcase more...but they'll be spoilers for the movie so I'll wait till ROTK opens. =)
